The idea of presenting it to my daughter as a graduation present has crossed my mind. If she's learned to drive by then. She's had 3 minor incidents in her 1993 Accord already however and hasn't been driving a year yet.

 

woof that would make for an ugly insurance payment... although by then it would be clear, assuming she was clean from now till then ...

might want to hold off on that idea... maybe give her incentive ....

 

I got the 4.56 as my only option also, but will get a K&N and wheels..

I was kind of in the middle, should I get these mods or take the money and get a 06 instead? I'd have to add some more money on top of that, but by getting a newer car I'd be picking up more re-sale value later on.. So it was pretty close to call.

I don't mind the stability control, sounds like a good idea. Not sure about the softer suspension or the 8000 rpm red-line. But to balance that they 2.2L does dyno higher and you get a glove box and 17" wheels.

In the end I decided on gears + wheels. Hard to say what's better but getting 2 new cars (03 then 06) I'd have taken 2 big first year hits, this way I take one 1st year hit and one big hit for the mods. Basically a wash, but (probably ap1 + gears is quicker than ap2 stock).

As for getting more or less money selling it with gears, probably will not get much extra, but most likely you won't get less than a stock car. I'm curious also what others say about that. The intake and wheels can be switched back and sold as parts, but the gears are in the car and it's too much trouble to go back.

 

I have no opinion. I sold as 1960 Corvette in 1968 for $900.
