Now that CT weather has warmed I've started using the S2k for my highway commute. However the wind buffeting makes for a real bad hair day. Do the oversized after market versions eliminate this problem?
Last year I droce an SLK in a company sponsored rally in France. The SLK had a mesh fabric screen that fit between the headrests. There was no wind buffeting and you could actually converse with your co-driver.
Has anyone tried to fit the Mercedes screen on their S2k?

You should check out Rick's 7/8-height and full-height conversion kits. They are supposed to greatly reduce the in-cabin turbulence.

Rick's full size works very well. I actually drive with mine folded back and it does more than the normal screen. The angle when folded back tends to shoot the air to the far sides of the car. On the last group drive it actually popped itself up from the folded back position and performed even better when I hit some good speeds Make sure to install the rubber stoppers he supplies following his instructions EXACTLY. When it popped up really fast I thought I was going to lose a stopper, but they stuck!
I also have Rick's headrests, but do not use them on longer drives YET (Rick is sending me a modification for my seats). Around town (less than 75 mph) they work very well and the combination of headrests and aeroscreen is awesome.
The aeroscreen is worth the money. The 7/8ths is more manageable when putting the top up and down, but my top stays down.

I did some "experiments" on this subject a while back. You can check it out here if you wish:

I have the 7/8 screen from Rick and I am pleased with the results. It makes a huge difference from having nothing at all (for example, if I fold it down while driving at speed). It has been a while since I had the stock screen in my car but I seem to remember a noticable difference when upgrading to Rick's screen.

Either the Rick's screen or the Mingster one will solve the problem. I have the Mingster aeroscreen on my car and it made a huge difference with wind beffeting and noise. It cuts down a lot on both problems.

Thanks again to all of you who replied. I did the hand behind your head test and you are right the amount of air flow thru the headrest is the cause of my bed head look.
When Rick's full screen arrives I will do some tests with and without the head rest blocked. As my wife threw out the Singer when our kids left home I may go to a tailor and have him cover foam cut to fit the opening with suede or a microfiber.
