Price You Paid For Your My04 S2000
#31
Im planning on buying an 2004 s2k when i get a good price. As if, if i got a good price tommorow, i would wake up early to go get one. Places around the bay area in California are being asses to me about pricing. Sure i am young but its not like i dont have the money.
Serremonte Honda has offered $32000 no option but i think i can work them down more.
Some dealer in San jose Has offered $33000 with Front lip, Side strakes, Trunk spoiler and ashtray and shift knob. whether i get the options or not, i would purchase these options by myself which would roughly cost around $1500.
Is $33000 a good deal or am i getting ripped off?

Find out "specifically" what they're charging you for the parts "and" installation on the accessories you mention. Then check places like H and A Accessories and Hard Top Guy for comparisons. H and A also has links under the individual accessories for PDF file instructions on their installation. Sometimes the dealer will charge you 2 or 3 hours labor on an installation that doesn't take the average mechanic 30 minutes to do.

The moral of the story is to shop around and compare dealers quotes, be confident and firm. Check around and get lots of quotes there are a ton of dealers in the bay area. Autowest Honda in Fremont has offered a bunch of good deals in the past. Me I bought mine from Grace Honda in San Bruno for $30,100, no options(hate factory rice ) This was in January though....so you may have a harder time. You're in prime vert season now....

i dont know where Rosenthal Honda Va. is at, but i was looking in more of the bay area such as SF honda, serremonte, oakland etc.
As mentioned in a few posts above, you want to be informed when you make your purchase. But life is short, and your overall enjoyment of this car will not depend on saving a few hundred dollars. (But then again, some people get great pleasure from negotiating that "killer" deal. )

Be careful....if you're paying cash then yes....the lowest price is the best.
If you're financing look at all the terms....The lowest buy price may not be the best deal, you have to consider interest, downpayment, etc...
Look at the DEAL you're getting not just the price you're 'paying'....the dealer is counting on people focusing on the purchase price and missing things like interest etc....
