price to sell s2k
hey guys im thinking about selling my s2k for finacial reasons which sucks, i own a my03 silverstone. qhat would be a fair asking price for one with 40-50k miles very clean also.

I don't know. There is some guy who posted this moring in S2000 talk who just bought a Honda Certified 2004 with onl 73 miles on it for 25k! I think our values are dropping, lol. It just depends on what people will pay for it in your area.

If you wait maybe for warmer weather it might be able to sell for more though.

www.kbb.com appears to lowball the pricetag and ding you really bad for mileage. www.edmunds.com seems to be on the other end of the spectrum. Maybe take the "private deal" cost for each and average it?
My '01 with 92,000 miles barely cracked $12k on kbb, but was over $15k same mileage on edmunds. I looked it up because I was curious why my $9700 repair job (stolen seats) wasn't above the 70% mark for "totalling" the car. According to my body shop, my insurance company says I've still got headroom, so assuming about $10,500 is the cutoff at 70%, that leads to an estimated worth of about $15k, closer to the Edmunds value.
