Price of leftover 03's
Hello. This is my first post although I have read these forums for some time. I am in the market for an S2000. I have been looking around for about a month but have yet to find one I like. I was not really looking at buying a new one but I found a dealer with two left over 03's and was wondering what a fair price would be for them. They are currently asking MSRP which I would never even consider paying but I do not know what I should offer that would be reasonably.
Also, if the 03 option does not work out, which would you suggest. Either A) buy a 2000 or 2001 and use the extra money saved to buy a factory hardtop or B) buy a 2002 but no hard top.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

No way should you pay MSRP for an '03. Brand new '04 cars are going for $2000 under MSRP. For a car that they've had sitting around since at least September of last year, they should come down by a good bit. Of course, if they refuse to - that might explain why they haven't sold them in eight months.
I think invoice is somewhere around $28,000. If they sell for invoice, they still would make money off it, plus they'd free up some inventory. How does this sound - start at invoice, but don't go over $29,000.
Alternatively, I personally would go for the '02 with no hardtop.
Good luck!
