I would figure someone stealing the HT would best drive up in an S with the rear latches - steal the top off the one car and put it on theirs and drive off.

It would happen, but it is big so one would need to plan for it. I bet if you're in a condo type parking lot (shared) it would happen eventually. And it's sooooo easy. Lucky I have a home with my own garage.
I think the chances happening on the street is tough, given that the thieves would need a truck and opportunity, etc. The stars have to be aligned.
But if you had a shared parking lot, I would say the chances of theft are upped substantially.

I don't think that's necessarily true as my friend's was parked on the street and his was stolen. The bottom line is that if they really want it, they will get it.
