hey guys i recently picked up a 600 mile silverstone and had a few questions about it.

is dumping the clutch bad with the slave cylinder delay?

on the front bumper grill thing are the two side holes supposed to be plugged?

and how are the k&n drop in filters?

and when you guys with the 2.2's get going from a stop for regular driving how high do you usually rev before the clutch is fully out? im just afraid of wearing out my clutch too fast from just around town stop and go. i notice i bog a few times so i guess that means i have to get used to the car still.

thanks

search for a mod for the slave... 1 hour of work
remove 2 little parts... 5000 miles and my clutch fluid is really dark..
coffee color

look into the K&N fipk...about $200 but the gains are 6-8 hp per K&N

Yes, its bad.
Slipping will cause glazing.
Do the mod before dumping it.

and yes the holes are supposed to be plugged on the bumper.

here is the best link....

I'd say it will cook your disk..... if the engine rpm is 6000 and you dump for fraction
the slave is limiting the flow of fluid and letting it slip.... with out breaking drive shafts, rear end, or all the other parts that can go wrong with a dump. You will only cool the disk... and have to see the dealer for a clutch job $$$$
