I was wondering who here has prepped their own new car at time of delivery? Some of the threads I have read suggest that it isn't always a good idea to let the dealer do it. I am considering doing it myself, or is that a little too anal?

Mine did a great job to prep the car (drove 2 1/2 hrs to pick it up). Didn't know you could do it yourself.....learn something new everyday

SilverFox,

Other than having the dealership add the necessary fluids and installing the options I had purchased, I prepped the car myself.

The less anyone else touches your racecar the less chance there is to get scratches, swirl marks, etc.

Plus, there is no better way to get acquanted with your new baby than to spend the first twelve hours with her prepping her from stem to stern!
