Power drop?

Have you been doing a lot of high rpm clutch dump type launches? Have you been driving around with your foot on the clutch a lot of the times? When you change gears, do you "ride" the clutch for a long time? Or generally been driving like a madman?
Well, I do most of my driving in heavy traffic situations; so I'm using the clutch a lot.
What's a long time? When I'm starting up in first, I usualy rev the car up to 2k and let the clutch roll off until about 5mph.
I dunno about driving like a madman... but I have gotten two speeding tickets in two days =(

The exhaust comment had me thinking...
I remember when I first bought the car that the PDI kid was talking to my salesguy and mentioned something about having to clean the exhaust tips... he mentioned that he hosed down "in there" really well. I didnt think anything of it... but could spraying some water up the exhaust cause a problem?

In your first post, you said it 'feels' like the car is revving, but what does the tach tell you? The relationship between rpm and speed is linear within a given gear. If you see the rpms increasing and your speed isn't increasing by a similar amount (%), then the clutch is probably slipping.
