I think the Euro, Jap, Aus, Asian versions have the lock/unlock feature from the driver's side. Regardless of whether they are LHD or RHD.
Remember, only the US version requires the clutch to be depressed in order to start. Sometimes I wished that the passenger window kill switch could be converted to a lock/unlock switch.
I mean who the hell needs a passenger window kill switch? Safety for kids? Well, put a passenger airbag kill switch too then.

I've looked into this and the door controllers between the US LHD and the Oz RHD are different. For example the LHD has an independant lock / unlock output to interface to the alarm module the RHD doesn't, LHD has independant driver unlock from remote the RHD doesn't, etc..
Bottom line, failing external additions or changes to the controller internally the systems are different and NOT interchangeable as the harnesses are different, etc..
there are lots of discussion on these differences in earlier discussions but all got no where except - live with it.
