Humm....the S2000 is a car that will own you if you disrespect it. Driving in the rain or snow is dangerous so be careful. I've seen quite a few 'younger' S2000 owners getting themselves in trouble cause the lack of experience in the car. I suggest test driving the different model years to determine the best MY for you. Try to get an 02'-03' if you can.

At 18 I built my AP2 from salvage title. Bought it myself, fixed it myself.
20 now, still have it ... It doesnt matter what age you are, there are few skilled drivers out there, the rest of em just dont know what they are doing, hence why people think S2000's are slow, or S2000's cant handle that well. Like they said, the car will own you if you cant handle it. Its not incredibly fast, its just a tough car to drive to its limits and if you cant do it well ur most likely gonna **** up while trying to.

i got my first S when i was 17...sold that one and got another one a few months ago....i drive less like a dick in my S2K....a lot more in my eg6 ...so s2k is a safer car for me
