How long did the whole install take you? I need to do this during the winter sometime.
Far longer than I expected and far longer than the 10 hrs they say in the PDF. But your time may vary. The sooner I can get this damn thing done the better. If you're doing it during the winter, I'd make sure you have a warm place to work. Warm up the garage or shop a couple of hrs before you start.

The fabric is suppose to go over bow 3 and bow 2. You only have it going over bow 2.
Yep, that did it. I made that change and the top went down all the way. I also helped it down the first couple of times, that was a good suggestion.

Thanks for posting this thread. I looked at the top on my '00 and the elastic straps hang down about 3/4" when the top is up. I should probably replace them before I have problems with the top.

Well I finally finished installing the top today. What a pain in the ass. If the top ever has to be replaced again, I'll take it somewhere and pay them to do it.

The corner plates that have to be put on where the bottom of the top meets the back corner of the window was a huge pain. The only way I could get to them tightened was with an offset Phillips screwdriver and I could only turn it a quarter turn at a time. One side took about 2hrs and the other was about an hour and half, just maddening. Then there were the trim pieces behind the rollbars, another pain to get out and back in along with the other issue I mentioned and who knows what else I forgot to mentioned.

My mind is so fried after this I'm lucky I still know my name. I feel like this experience took 10 years off my life. Who ever said replacing the top is 'a piece of cake' should be drawn and quartered. That's after they buy me a case of Sierra Navada.
