Nah, us 3rd worlders don't have pot holes like above. Our roads are just wavy enough to launch you into space at the right velocity.
Nice,
I lived on dirt roads for a lot of my life, it feels like you are driving on a washboard.

Metro Detroit area has one of the most horrible roads in the US, IMO.
I always take the road I trust.

The part I don't get is this: we pay taxes, and tolls, and gas taxes to fix this kind of shit. Is it too much to ask that roads be safe and is it unreasonable to drive on..ya know..the road with the expectation that our cars will make it home in one piece? What about motorcycle riders? A hole like those pictured above would kill someone on a bike? I hate to sound naive but c'mon. Congress earmarks funding to research gay native Americans (no joke) and yet our roads look like this. Wow.

^^^ I agree, It is crazy to see how some of the money gets spent.

There is a highway out here the took something like 37 years to build from planning to finish. 20 years were spent on the planning and environmental study and 17 on building the road. It was priced @ $100,000,000 per mile for 16 miles.
