OUtsides including the underside of the bolsters and the back
The center perforated area definitely feels like the other perforated areas on the seats.
Door cutouts could be vinyl, lemme go see, brb.

center console, yes, door inserts, I don't know, if anyone has changed them recently and seen the backs, let us know for sure.
The fake leather today is getting really good, anyone flown Continental Express recently...not leather, actually called Is It Leather, but feels nice and soft, much better than traditional vinyl.

A couple weeks ago I used lexol's products to clean and preserve the leather. The preservative took to the seat facings, steering wheel, shift knob, the elbow pad (somewhat). But the preservative seemed to be "rejected" by the door inserts, and of course the seat backs.

Thanks for this advice - nice to have SME's rather than relying on anecdotes.
I just bought the kit for $38 clams.
I have a question:
what are aniline, semi-aniline, what is the diff, and what do our cars have?

Our cars have finished leather, it means there is a color coat and top coat sprayed on the surface of the leather after it is dyed. This make for added durability and a longer useful life. Aniline leatehr is simply dyed, it is very soft and used mostly on high end furniture that is not used often. Not practical at all in an automobile.

2002S2K, great idea to consolidate all the issues into one thread and thanks for offering to answer the questions as they arise.
