Alrighty, I'm a Leo, and as such require my ego to be validated every now and again.
The one moment that sticks out best in my mind occurred late last summer. A friend and I were "cruising" in the downtown core at approximately 12am. Just as the bar crowd were filling the streets, we decided to take advantage of the 30C weather, and drive around with the requisite roof down. I was followed by two attractive young ladies for about two blocks, and by the time I reached the third, they had sucessfully squeaked their way in behind me. Now waving, and screaming, I slowed to await a red light. At this moment, a leggy blonde hops out of the car, comes over to the driver side, leans in (as the light turns green) and says "that is the nicest car I have *ever* seen" followed by..."and damn your'e cute"
Ahh yes, always helps to look good for the ladies. Blondes, summer and top down motoring. What more could I ask for? Oh yes...I ask that none of you tell my fiance about this incident

I got my S2000 in March, 2000. There certainly were a few other S2Ks in Southeast PA at the time, but not very many. It was a couple of months before I saw another one, and even months later, it was very rare. Anyhow, a few days after I got the car, I was filling up at a local gas station when a local friend pulled up to the next set of pumps. This friend is a long time roadster owner and enthusiast. I hadn't seen him in some time, and he had no idea that I was even thinking about an S2000. When I realized that it was him, I also realized that he was staring at the S2000, absolutely transfixed.
He hadn't even noticed me standing there. He got out of his car and walked right past me without even actually seeing me, still staring at the car. Only after he stood there gazing at it for a couple of seconds did he finally turn and realize that I was there. A brief second of confusion on his face as he realized that, since I was putting gas in the car, it was probably mine. "Dallas!" (pause as he tried to find words) "Do you know what this is?!?" I assured him that, since I had owned and driven it for several days now, I was pretty sure that I knew what it was. We both chuckled at his question, and both knew what he meant. He proceeded to rattle off all of the significant specs about the car. He was very enthusiastic about it. I will never forget the look on his face as he pointed at my car and asked, "Do you know what this is?"

1. Negotiating the twisties down Highway 1, near Pebble Beach. World-class driving and world-class view. You can smell the salty sea air with the top down.
2. 130 mph up Highway 5. (almost got a ticket)
3. 80 degrees; car's washed and waxed; top down listening to the Stone's "Tumblin' Dice."
I've got so many moments; I'm just so grateful to own this car.

Where do I begin???
-First time I sat in the car and drove it.
-First get together with other sports cars to do a rally on the twisty mountain roads and kept up with some of the newer Porsches and a Ferrari 348ts. Not to mention their reactions when they got out of their cars. "This is a Honda??? I couldn't lose you guys no matter how hard I tried!"
-(This one sounds lame, but very memorable) Driving one night when the sky was clear, billions of stars, no traffic for miles, and the brightest moon I've seen that made the surroundings glow. After a stressful night at work, driving with the top down seemed like I was driving in a mystical peaceful world with no one around. The moon was so bright, that I could've driven with the lights off. All the stress and worries completely vanished and all I did was DRIVE. It was just a Pure feeling of driving with nothing else on my mind. What a stress reliever.
-Everyday I get a chance to drive my "S" is a treat!

The moment I saw my car at the dealership.
I had put $ down to hold the car, but had to wait for it to come in. During the month that I was waiting, I actually decided that it was a bad choice for me to buy it. For one, my husband at the time (now ex-husband) didn't really fit into it. For two, it wasn't the most practical choice given what I needed it for. Anyway, I went to the dealership figuring that I would test drive it, but now get it now. Hold off a year or two. Well, needless to say, I pulled in and there it was sitting out front waiting for me. I saw it and had to have it. Even though it was still covered in plastic stickers and crap, just off the truck, I knew. Never regretted the choice I made. I love it and it brings me a little joy every day.
