Possible Lemon?
or am I just overreacting here.
I started a separate thread on my possible MAP sensor problems but since then, things have gotten progessively worse with my s2k.
Last week my VTEC starting hesitating right around the same time the infamous TSB 0054 buzzing/vibrating noise appeared. I ordered a new MAP sensor to fix the VTEC problem. But before I installed the new MAP sensor, my CEL came on (this was last night after sitting in traffic for over 3 hours-f'ing Verrazano). As per the manual, I checked the fuel cap and gave it another twist or two. I have taken 3 seperate "trips" and the CEL is still on. So my new MAP sensor came in this morning and I decided to install it. CEL is still on and now I cannot check to see if the new MAP sensor fixes the VTEC problem because the f'ing CEL keeps me out of VTEC.
I'm going to reset my ECU and see if that clears things up.
So as I'm driving to work this morning I quickly catch a glimpse of the oil indicator flashing. It flashed really quick and I did not see it again. I checked the oil when I got to work and it looks just a tad low-not bad though. But before I pulled the dipstick out, I noticed it had already popped out. WTF-research on this thread shows that this is another "known" issue. I don't see any oil anywhere in the engine though, so I think it's safe to say I didn't shoot any oil out. I have an oil change scheduled this weekend.
There is a list that is posted in the library called "SOME PROBLEMS/SOLUTIONS REPORTED BY HONDA & OWNERS." It's a very comprehensive list. Out of that list I have 6 issues. Most are very minor, not even worth mentioning. But worth mentioning are:
1-the window problem
2-the oil stick popping out problem
3-the TSB0054 problem
4-the MAP sensor/VTEC problem
5-CEL on
!!!!!!!!!

I dont see why you are doing anything. That car should be brought and LEFT at the dealer. If they dont fix the problem, you tell them to sit you in a new car! They dont have a choice. Actually a lemon is when the same problem occurs multiple times, BUT you are not authorized to do the repairs, you must bring it there and not screw with it yourself.

you can find much information on the net about the "lemon law".
however, the number of problems that you have does not qualify.
you have to have a re-occuring problem (3 times to be exact) that relates to the performance of your car. if Honda tried to fix it and it still comes back, then you know you have a lemon.
i've read post about cars being lemons, and it seems like quite a hassle to get a new car, most dealerships tend to weasle out the situation by posponting court dates and what not....
hope this helps.

I leased it new and I've had it for just over a year now (MY02 with 13K). With the exception of the window problem, these problems have occured recently.
