But does anyone else find it ironic that a salesman would know the solution to the problem? (No offense to any car salespeople, but a lot seem to know very little about cars or troubleshooting)
special thanks from me to that salesman!!
i agree, most know very little about the car at all- so to find one that had an answer that no mechanic had is wonderful!

Worked for me! Only thing is I thought I busted the motor. The window didnt drop at all for about 5 - 10 seconds... then it started working. I guess maybe it was still resetting.

Very interesting.

Please pm me if you have had the auto down problem consistantly and then do the "fix" and now the regulator will go down all the way with the roof switch or the "Auto down" switch.

My understanding was that the pulser inside the window motor is not "pulsing" very well and the motor does not see the movement of the window glass, so it turns off. It may be that the "fix" resets the way the motor is watching for the pulse.

It also may be a temporary fix.

Intrested in results,
Woodwork

To paint a stereotype, usually. Seems tho that in this case there is at least one who is on the ball

I'm on my 3rd window regulator and I'm wondering if all I had to do was reset it for it to work. Hmmm... Honda, where is your TSB for this fix instead of replacing it?

i think it is very poor customer relations for honda to have not just informed us...
they know about this board, or they could have sent out a "service announcement" by snail-mail, or somehow used this for a positive p.r. release.
instead, they make us take our cars to them (maybe this is why!!) to have them "fixed"!
