it looks like there isn't much room for being lowered and getting that thing under

Yeah I don't think there is any way I would be able to only being lowered about 2" but looks tight already at stock height in the video.

like i said i called them earlier to inquire more info about it. they said they have ramps for lowered cars that could drive onto the lift. they said it was designed in mind for race cars. the ramps would cost 350 i think. i remember there being a 300+ rage. still ways too much out of mu price range.

and even looks like you couldnt do certain jobs like clutch changes, transmission removal, exhaust looks like it would be difficult and some other things because of those cross members

off topic, but moddiction, i sent you a pm.

3/8's bolts/studs keeping the lift from tilting over?? what about the front end being heavier than the rear? I wouldn't trust myself under that thing..

actually the ap2 as i know of has a 49/51 weight split. which means the rear is heavier than the front. but not by much.

I almost bought that a few years ago, nice that it is very portable.

I ended up buying a BendPak midrise lift for about $100 less and way more useable, does not move around as easily but lifts the car 4ft. so its easier to work on.

I'd definitely go with the MaxJax if you want to work under the car.

There is no way I would trust myself with the EZCarlift. That thing looks scary to be underneath the car. On the other hand, the MaxJax looks safer since you have the bolts anchored to the ground.

I would just stick to solid jack stands and throw two wheels under the sides of the car to be extra safe instead.
