Default Poor man's seat belt locks

Well I kind of stumbled upon this by accident today. I normally drive the car with the seat (not seat back) at about the middle of the travel. Recently I have started pushing the seat all the way back before parking for easier entry/exit. So today I jumped in and just quickly adjusted the seat which I soon realized was about 2 clicks away from my preferred location. At the first stop I made the tensioner was still locked as I moved the seat 2 clicks forward. This took up the little slack that was there and left me STRAPPED in and was tight enough retain the tension and really improved control in high speed cornering. Give it a try!

lol you discovered a very common auto-x/track trick.

On a side note, i'd get very annoyed at moving my seat everyday like you do, its always hard to find the exact position again on the first try, haha.

Lol... well, I figured I wasn't the first but it worked well enough that I decided to share.

I think I am gonna rig some kind of bump stop to the rails so I can get it back to "drive mode" without much effort.

What about us poor ol' tall guys who have to drive with the seat as far back as it'll go?

Define tall? I'm 5'7.5 and ride with the seats all the way back. Been that way since I'd bought the car, I could only imagine a 6" to 6'3 person.

Modifry has a pretty cool little magnetic invention that utilizes the locking mechanism of the belt to lock it whenever you want to, and release it as well. Check it out!

You either have freakishly long legs, or a piece of candy stuck in your seat rails. There is no way a 5'7 person is all the way back in the s2000.

I'm 6'0 and I'm not all the way back.
