good luck!
I caught my dealer putting the wrong filter on after i specifically told them to put the right one on.

They blew me off.

I asked my service manager about it and he said they only use the right filter, but would check on it for me.

Lo and behold, the car goes back up on the lift and they're dropping the 'right' oil filter and replaced it with another!

The old wrong filter is sort of a powder or sky blue. The newer one is a darker blue and you can see "Toyo Riki" or somesuch on it when looking at it from the engine compartment.

To answer your question, in short, yes, the new PCX oil filter is the correct one. Ask your dealer to look up the available oil filters for the S2000 on their computer system, and they will see for themselves. Also there was a note about the change in their IN system in late July supposely. Finally call AHM.

BTW, its really sad that we know more than the dealers do.

Man, just had an oil change a few days back and then saw this thread. Fortunately, my dealer is using the right filter which is the dark blue one.

I went to my dealership today. I showed them the part number with the picture and they looked it up on their computer. It showed the PCX filter is replaced by the "one size fits all" filter. They claim they can't even order the PCX filter. Looks like I'll be calling AHM.

I also talked my friend in the service department. He looked in the pulication records and the only info he had showed you can use either the PCX or the other filter. WTF, over?

I was thinking about it...

I had a friend call his dealership in Lincoln, NE (about 3 hours from me) and that parts guy knew exactly what he was talking about. I told my frined in the service department about it and he said he would have "our" parts guy call the parts guy in Lincoln to get the low down. I'm hoping he will call me tomorrow...

If they use the wrong filter even once and your engine goes for oil problems... that is an easy way to make honda cover it.
