you are right on the dot. i compare both and i also notice the darker red and thicker with spartly red looks much nicer than the JDM S2000 2000-2001. i think that is the reason why it cost more.
i have the DC2 type R in the rear and also compared the JDM S2000 2000-2001 and they are the exact size as the DC2-R. the 2002-2004 is sporting the bigger version. i personally like the small version.
the DC5-R is sporting the bigger version too but it does not look like the bigger version of the JDM s2000 2002-2004. the DC5-R apparently look much better, the crease of the "H" is much more flat and flush.

I will have pics taken of the sides and backing of the badges Monday, had to go out of town today till tomorrow night they are installed the same way as the regular badges do

Don't add any - they are ugly. The US badging is subtle and clean - in my opinion, anything that breaks up the clean sight lines of a car without itself being interesting is counter-productive. For this reason, I added JDM clear side markers - they look great on the Silverstone, and do not break the clean character of the beltline crease.
