thanks, nice broads, i did that, she was talking on her cell phone, i asked 3 times for her info,. i had her cornered in an alley and right when the cops showed up , she squeezed her car through the gap of two buildings and dumped it , believe it or not she got away. the ffed up thing is , i had just bought the car from a dealer in ct. drove the car home,Toronto can. went downtown for 2 minutes. it seem s i only have the coverage on my delsol which transfers over to the s2000 for 14 days of purchase of a new vehicle.(s2000) so , i don't have collision , and collision is where hit and run comes in , so i really don;t want this to be a hit and run and my insurance to try to screw me in the end, sorry i knew it would get confusing if i told the whole story.

no, there are 3 phukked up things here...
1. always tell the whole damn story
2. always get all the information ASAP from someone in an accident
3. ALLLLLLLWAYS add your car to your policy IMMEDIATELY when buying a new car. hence why they never let you leave the lot until you have insurance. and you should be smart enough to know if your current car doesnt have comp/coll that the second you drive off the lot you are taking a HUGE risk. Especially for a guy driving from the US back to Canada
this story just gets better and better. please tell us more.

File a criminal "hit and run" report with the police ASAP. And stay on their butts about it. Cops are lazy SOBs, except when they are after ME for something, of course. I had a hit and run here in Okla, which is a mandatory liability insurance state, and a witness got the license plate number and a description of the car. I filed a hit and run complaint. The cops tracked the driver down, and got me his insurance info (he had insurance). After the insurance company agreed to fix my car (which they did) I agreed to drop charges. Of course, in my case, the "accident" involved his "nerfing" of my plastic side cladding ('92 Eagle Talon Turbo) with the plastic front bumper on his '90 Cadillac, so it is possible that he didn't know anything had happened. In your case, I would not have dropped criminal charges.
And for God's sake, get collision and comprehensive insurance coverage for yourself. The only time anybody should go without these coverages is when they drive some old beater.
Thanks,
Richard

1st Step (like everyone suggested) file the police report. The sooner the better. File all charges possible. Hit and run and anything else. Warrants for arrest can be a great motivator.
2nd Step (also suggested above) do not leave the police to do all of the work. Dolebludger put it perfectly saying "Cops are lazy SOBs". They sure didnt help me at all.
3rd Step Go online. I did not realize you were in Canada. That eliminates most of the channels I would normally use. There are still tons of online sites that will provide you with the information you need. A quick Google of "public records for licenced plates" gave me Abika.com as the top result. They do also provide for Canadian provinces. I've never used them and therefore do not endorse them, but you get the idea. Once you find a VIN# for the car along with the name and address for registration filling in the blanks is easy. Take the name and address and do a background check. It will provide you with everything you need.
As for pressing charges (even after you are paid), prosecute them to the full extent. Nail her for hit and run and anything else they will allow. I have no sympathy for someone talking on their phone, banging my S2Grand, and bailing. Maybe that is just me though.
On another note, down here in the States we shoot people for leaving the scene of an accident. It's almost as American as apple pie and rioting in the streets after our team wins a national championship.
