Thanks everyone for all your quick reply.
We will find out whether my dealership would try to gauge me on financing or not.

One last question, what is interest rate that I should qualify through Honda Credit if my beacon score is above 680?

So I went to my Honda dealership this evening after work. I thought all I had to do was sign the paper and walk out with my S2000 but the Honda dealership tried to pull stereo typical BS on me.

Little did they know that I work for the mortgage company as a mortgage broker. I brought in my mortgage calculator with me which I can use to determine pretty much any scenario.

They quoted me that I qualify for 7.39% for 60months(5 year) @ 635/month. However, when I ran it using my loan calculator 7.39% for 60 months should get me monthly payment of 629/month.

When I asked the finance manager about my Beacon score, he was insisting that it is company policy that they do not share that information with customers. I said that is unheard of and said unless he shows me what my beacon score is I will walk. So I find out what my beacon score is after some BS the finance manger tried to pull on me.

My beacon score sits at well over 700. And as you know you qualify for best rate out there if your beacon score sits above 700.

Long story short, I walked out after leaving them an ultimatum. Either, give me the rate that I qualify or I am walking. My sales guy was jumping up and down just to make sure that he doesn't lose sales and the finance guy pretty much knew he got caught red handed while BSing me.

I am all about getting this sweet S2000 however, I hate dealing with dishonest stealership people. Can you imagine what they would do to people who doesn't understand all these finance principles?

I am sitting tight for now and will wait until I hear from the stealership again.

Good for you. Don't let them give you any nonsense. I hate when dealers do this. They take what should be a great experience and turn it into a nightmare.

yes, you are absolutly right. I was all about taking delivery of this car this evening but it is all ruined because the stealership tried to pull BS on me.

Forgot to mention, when I asked the finance guy why my interest rate is so high, he mentioned to me about some collection that was filed on my name back in 1994.

I smiled and asked. "You are kidding right? almost 10 year old collection which has been paid 10 years ago is now back to hunt me?"

Then I went on to explain my current car payment. I got 5year finance through Chase for 6.04% 15months ago with less income and less Beacon score. When I mentioned this to the finance guy, he just didn't know what to come back. His only excuse was "Oh you walked in 5min before closing and I've been working almost 12 hours"

I almost told him "Well, so if I come back tomorrow morning when you are fresh in memory, then would you be able to tell me the truth!?"

Anyway...I hate stealerships!!!!!! YUK!

A dealership in Norman, Oklahoma was advertising 3,000 off the sticker on new S2000's about a month ago. Never checked it out though. Probably BS. What changes are going to be made to the 2004 model? Does anyone know? Thanks.

Im getting 2003 S2000 with 200miles on odometer for 31.5k out the door.
That is more than 3000 in discount.

It is buyers market. You shouldn't pay more than 32k for current year s2000. Although it depends on where you live as I understand.

OK, the sticker price on a bone stock S2000 here is $33,060, so they were taking $3,000 off, so final price would be $30,060. Sticker price must be higher there.

No, Out the door means it includes tax title and every other fees.

using 5.75% tax rate, my car price without tax and other fee is $29,688.75
Invoice price is little over 29,000 for the S2000 as I understand.
