Whats the best polish/cleaner for the S2K plastic window? I just got mine and it already has some "swirls" or surface scratches (i guess thats what you call them) on the window...Does Plexus fix that? or Meguiars? Also what should i use to wipe it with?...thanks

Plexus

based on the board's concensus.

I bought mine at http://www.properautocare.com/plexus.html .

Based on my experience with the windscreens so far, I would say that 3M Plastic Polish is superior to Plexus for taking out fine scratches. Plexus is more a cleaner and anit-static agent than a polish.

Use the Meguiar's if it's bad. There is a nice write up on roadster top care at www.autopia-carcare.com/cabriocare

I use both plexus for quick cleaning and the Meguiars 3 step for removal of the bad stuff. Be careful not to get the Meguiars on the top itself. It's difficult to get off of the material.

The Meguiar's I use is the #17 plastic cleaner/polish which is clear and leaves no residue on top that I have noticed. Plexus is good for in between cleaning. The 3m stuff works great, but I find it to be the messiest of all.

I use the Plexus for cleaning once a week and the Meguiar's #10 and #17 cleaner/polish once a month. Squeeze Meguiar's on to a 100% cotton cloth, apply both to window in a back and forth motion, no circles, leave dry for a few minutes then buff with a clean 100% cotton cloth. Use towel or Muz mat in well. I dont use anything in the area where the top folds as it is a pain in the butt. My window looks good and I have had the car for 15 months. I was wondering which part of the window is getting the worst of the wear.

Is it the inside or outside?

I initially used the 100% bathroom floor mat but replaced it with the MUZ mat recently. I also place a rolled up 100% cotton black bath towel in the crease where the window folds in on itself. The towel thing is a pain.

Does everybody do this too?

I use the Miata padded tube "thingie". It's a pain but it works. Also have "Muz Mat". Before that I had a cut out piece of headliner in the top well. Have had the car since June and the window is just like new.
I normally raise and lower the top two or three times a day weather permitting. Parked with cover on now. Bummer!!!!
