Plastic Rear Window Replacement

Is there a replacement for the plastic rear window. My car was broken into a while back and now i want to replace the rear window which was slashed in the attempted robbery...anyone know where i can buy and how much will it cost me?

At this point I think it's a dealer-only item, but I don't know the cost. Insurance should help if you have full coverage.

There is a replacement window that the dealer can order. I saw the TSB for it. I think it was TSB-00048. It looks like a PIA to install. It requires removing the seats, glove box, rear window tray, roll hoops, drilling out the window rivets...

I just had my rear plastic window replaced by the dealer because the original was so badly scratched. It was done in conjunction with the seat-belt recall, but they send the job out to a specialty shop that deals with convertable tops. The new window is crystal clear. Haven't tried it out in the rain yet to see if there are any leaks.

Well i would like to order the part on my own and i know a speciality shop near my house which deals in exotic/sports car repair esp. convertible repairs...so if i get the part i can go to this guy and get it fixed...if anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

According to the Majestic Honda web site, the list price is $218.22. The discount price is $163.66. Check out the Parts Store link at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/home.htm select the "Soft Top" under the component selection.

That seems to be a great price...only 163.00
i spoke to a local Honda Dealer near me and they wanted 247.25 for it. i think i'll order it through them if i can't find a better price.

Swurvydel, you better get a quote for the installtion cost 1st! That is probably the biggest expense.
