01 s2000, if i use static cling tint on my rear window, it will prevent scratches and also prevent creasing? cause the creasing part really bugs. i get out of the car all the time to push the creases down , but if tint prevents that than im in, so is this correct and im just blowin poop

it should help prevent cracking, but I don't know about creasing. there's a thread that talks about how to remove creases and dents. It involves pouring boiling water on the window

creases r cause by plastic window bending irregularly, i have to get out of the car and push down the window so it bends right, so i guess my correct question is will static CLING tint help the window blend properly

does anyone have a solution for the improper bending when putting the top down , getting out of the car is inconvinent

Yes, I do. There was a product being mentioned on this board a couple of years back called "greg straps" which were elastic, attached on the sides of the plastic window opening, and aplied tension to help the window fold properly. These work pretty well.

But the main way I keep my plastic rear window folding properly is to keep it soft and supple. From time to time after a wash, I apply 303 ilberally to the window (both sides) and let it soak in to the plastic for several hours (Yes, it does soak in). Then I wipe the window down with a MF cloth. I then remove any remaining smudges and streaks with Plexus. I've done this since I bought my S 2000 five years ago, and the window is as clear, soft, and supple as new.

I tried everything lol, gregs straps didnt work. It was to damn tight whiuch is good but even then my window still bent. My window was also pretty mint, spent os much time a few days a weke cleaning but you know how much hassle that is..........even then your looking outside of plastic.........

Guys go for the glass, I so reccomend it. Its like night and day. HUGE change. So worth it. Cant wait untilt he cooler days where I wont even fear of the plastic cracking

I have the same problem with having to get out of the car to make sure it folds right. However, I just do not like the look of the glass window so I put up with it.
