Most I got was 147 on the way down the hill from Reno. This was with the hard top on, I would have pushed all the way, but ran out of road.

138 top and windows down and no aero screen (what a rushhhh). It was on the bridge across Lake Lewisville @2:00am. Yes, I have to admit I had the F&F syndrome. I might have been in 5th when I hit 138 b/c I remember seeing redline and having to shift onto 6th.

I want to live. So, from now on just 60-70 is good for me.

I haven't gone over a hundred since I did 155 and it scares me to think about what could happen. But I guess nobody goes out to go that fast. It's kinda spontaneous.

I hit about 145 mph on my brother's RX-7, he easily did 160mph on the way to Texas from Oklahoma. It was a straight away and I was pretty scared so I stopped for about after a minute.
On my S, I only went about 125mph w/ top down, that was quite scarry. I never tried w/ the top up, what's the fun in that ;-)

The thing about speed is you get used to it, which is not always good. I had a crotch rocket that I never thought I would have over 100 which proved to be wrong. I worked my way up to the point were I was downshifting at 100 to hit the powerband which would send me to the 140 range very quickly. My point is you work your way up to it but don't realize how fast you really are going until it is time to slow down. My advice to all the other speed demons out there is to occasionally when you are running over 100 just let off the gas and see how long it takes you to slow down and think about it.
