Pictures of Chase Hitch and Tire Tail
I recently acquired:
1) Chase Race Hitch - http://www.chaserace.com/s2000/s2000hitches.html
After researching S2KI for the best S2000 hitch, I decided on Chase Race. These were the deciding factors:
a) A bolt on kit. No drilling required
b) The hitch bolts onto the differential, much stronger than competitors' that bolt on to the flimsy metal on the bottom of your trunk.
c) The hitch is removable; you just have to slide out 3 pins.
I wanted a hitch for two reasons: bringing wheels/tires to the track and to carry snowboards.
2) iZoom Graphic's Tire Tail - http://www.izoomgraphics.com/index.php?mai...4&products_id=9
I wanted a convenient way to carry R-compound tires to the track so after more research on S2KI, I decided on the Tire Tail. Ultimately, I did not want to buy a trailer due to lack of garage space. Plus, I can stow anything I need for the track in my trunk (except for an EZ-UP for hot S. Cali summers...)
*3) Yakima Hitchski - http://www.yakima.com/Product.aspx?id=115
As an avid snowboarder, I was somewhat frustrated with the S2000 as my daily driver. After doing some research, I found the Yakima solution is the best. Why? Since my car rides a bit lower than stock, having a hitch receiver that is too long might result in scraping on inclines/declines. Yakima's biggest competitor, Thule, has a hitch that sticks out way too far, resulting in migraine-inducing screeches. In addition for you bikers (not motorcyclists!), it is also your perfect solution.

After installing my hitch and tire tail 3 days ago, I attended drift lessons at Willow Springs today. I know, I know...the S2000 is not SUPPOSED to be a drift car so let me explain... I am an avid track enthusiast and I trying to become competitive in the time trial scene in S. Cali (I want to be as fast as MAXREV and STINKTOFU on S2KI...haha). However, I found that I still tended to spin-out more than I would like... I took the drift class to help me improve my lap times by enabling me to trail brake and rotate my car in tough corners. Anyways, here are some pics:
Rear Angle...I had some old Azenis that I decided to use for the drift lesson. I only took the rears, but the Tire Tail can accommodate 4 tires...
Close-Up
The Tire Tail uses washers/pins to secure the tires but I used tie-downs just in case...
Had to throw this one in...just got new rims and lip...
Cheers!

600 rr Rocket you rock!
Thanks for posting the pictures as I was looking for a similar setup. I've purchased the Chase Race hitch for my 07 (I'll post pictures once I have it installed) and wanted to see what it would look like installed.
Do you know of a Snowboard carrier for the rear or a combo between bike rack and snowboard carrier? I haven't seen one as of yet...
That's a great solution for track tires...

Sweet setup!!!!. I too am thinking about upgrading to R comps and don't want to have a tow rig. How long does it realistically take to unbolt the hitch from the car at the track?
Also did you install yourself and if you did how long did it take?

I also recently purchased a Chase/Race trailer hitch for mine. Very well made, a relatively easy bolt up install. The $450 shipped price was a bit steep but I realise that Doug Chase isn't selling enough of these to justify going into full blown production.
