If someone could make a very basic copy (no need for all of the lines, just the basic outer shape) of the amber piece in thin, clear lexan (Rick?), you could spray some diffuser stuff on it (Foliatec?). THAT may be worth the trouble...

Hang on... if $900 only buys the housing, how could it affect the beam pattern of the HIDs? If I recall correctly, other people on the board who have the JDM or Euro headlights had to adjust the aiming of their HID's after installation.

1RandyC... can you clarify? Having disassembled the headlights, is the housing with the orange thingy a separate piece from the HID and high-beam assemblies? Or are they all integrated into one pod?

MacGyver,

I'd like to help with this one, but with all the other projects I have going, I'm on overload right now. Plus this one is a little beyond my experience.

To everyone, the $900 I was quoted from MG Racing was for the Eurp-spec headlight housing. They told me this price doesn't include the bulbs and ballast. On a positive note, my friends at Intercrew Auto Salon are taking out the amber lens for me (Since I also feel uncomfortable doing this), since they've been doing this kind of stuff for Civic owners frequently. If anybody's interested in shipping their headlights to Intercrew Auto Salon to do this and then ship back (I'm guessing around 9-10 business days total) to them, then let me know so I can ask for a lower price for everyone and if Intercrew's willing to do this. Once, again...no, I do not work for them, I do not make any commission off of this.
