Hey all-
I have a 2002 Silver with red interior ordered and delivery is next month.
What does everyone think this will look like in the new lighter silver exterior color?? Better or worse than this? By the way i think the black with red is interesting and perhaps better. However it surely did scare the crap out of me for a few minutes.

those of you who said that the brochure was totally weak and didn't show what it should have were completly right.
the only interior shots were of blue and black and even those weren't what i would call all that great pictures.
are there any sites online with pictures of the 2002 silver with red perhaps?
if anyone knows please pm me i am a bit worried. On the bright side, i think i am glad i didn't discover this all after i paid for it, not that it would have stopped me, it would have just given me a mild heart attack.

I thought Honda did the 2002 upgrades on customer input. I sure someone got it wrong somewhere. Perhaps it was a translation error! Way, way too much red for me. I do like the rest of the changes - glass window, tweeters etc on the 2002 model but what with the interior. Guess I wont be upgrading my silver/red.
Thats my opinion anyway but you and your mrs like it and thats really what counts.

Put me down as someone who likes it, and I like it a lot.
Personally I can't wait to see one in person.
Good luck with your new car.
Might I make one recommendation:
Put some UV protectorant on all of the red surfaces now.
Don't even finish reading this post, go outside and do it now.
Ok so you're still reading. Put the stuff on the dash early on so you will avoid any fading problems. I've used Aerospace 303 Protectorant with great succes on all the red surfaces of my interior.

I can imagine you would KINDA like it in a way that people like their brothers or sisters - you have to cos you are stuck with it.
Why not add even more red? and some carbon fibre trim perhaps.
Sure, you may not care what other people think as long as you like it, but why not spend another 5-600 dollars and make everyone else like it too?
just a thought.

Keller -
You seem to be taking a beating here, so I thought I'd post again.
I like your interior. For those of you who are so repulsed by it, I ask this. What do you think of the red interiors in the current Boxster/BoxsterS/996? Honda seems to have taken a more retro stance with this red interior than my red interior and now the color scheme more closely matches those used by other automakers.
I like it. Let's face it, these cars aren't for everyone. A black car isn't for everyone. Keller, you've got yourself what is sure to be a very unique car. Enjoy it.
Congrat's again and welcome to the club.
PS - any chance of posting more pic's?
