Default perfect weight distribution

What year did the s2000 loose its 50/50 weight distribution and what differences caused it. The MY08 is 51% rear, 49% front.

I don't think its ever been completely 50/50 weight distribution. From what I can gather though is that its pretty close to that.

It's just rounding I believe. That distribution will change if you remove your spare tire and have an empty tank of gas

Besides, you actually sit a bit further than the middle in the car, so your weight also will affect the distribution (slightly). Nevertheless, I believe it should be a small difference. It's not like your car's going from 50/50-ish to 60/40-ish.

is it that big of a deal....? if your car is balanced and one day you feel like biggie sizing your mcd's meal then your car will be off a little. go with better tires and a wider set like i am looking into and you will be happy it's not an rx7. haha not busting on you or anything but the 1% diff shouldn't make that much of a diff.

I just thought I remembered Honda saying the S had perfect 50/50 weight distribution when it first came out (?) and I just pick up the 2008 brochure and its say 51/49.

I believe the pcar cayman claims to have 50/50 distribution... but i'm sure they rounded as well.

if you can notice a 1% difference, i'll give you a cookie.

The stook is a front-mid engine car...the engine sits completely behind the front shock centerline. That is why it has more weight on the rear. That is a good thing. Mid-engine cars tend to handle better than front engine cars...there is a reason Ferrari F430, Lambos, GT40, Veyron, etc are mid-engine.

Just curious, is the brochure talking about front/rear and/or diagonal 49/51 distribution?
