people who put crappy tires on the S
i guess some people's driving habits are different and they have different requirements for tires, but wow.
I've been driving an ap1 on ap1 wheels with some falken ziex ze512 tires on them and boy are they horrible. This is a serious downgrade in handling! I can't even take the most basic gentle sweeping turns without the front tires begging for mercy. There's no way I would dive in to a corner with these things!
They are an all season M+S tread and do not belong on an S2000, haha. Why buy a sports car like the S and then put what are practically the cheapest available tire on? I looked online and there are only about 2-3 cheaper tire models

Agreed. For an extra $20-$30 a tire, you can usually get a decent tread life summer tire and have far superior handling. However, I may rock all seasons for the winters around here on my stock wheels so that I can get around in the rain more comfortably...

Tires rated for high milage are generally cheaper but do have the attribute of excellent wear resistance. These tires (yours) might be an excellent choice for frequent highway and interstate travelers. The best overall for the majority would be a compromise between a low and a high rating.

I've been screaming on this board about S2000s with $4k JDM Body kits and $3000 wheels with stretched complete rubbish tires for years now.
A real enthusiast understands that it's all about the tire!

When I bought my car CPO from a dealer, it had on brand new Nexen N7000 all season tires. When dealers prep a CPO car for sale, I thought that involved replacing components with OEM parts but I guess I was wrong. And they're 225 in front so the size is not even correct.
However, I'd hate to spend $800 on performance tires when these are brand new so I'm going to keep them until they're up for replacement and then probably go with some Advan Sports.
Anyone know anything about the Nexen N7000? Not even listed on Tirerack. All I know is that they're a Korean company. I thought they would be terrible but they seem to be ok, though I haven't pushed too hard yet and haven't seen the rain. The only S I've ridden in is my car with these Nexens so I probably don't even know what I'm missing.
