Just got back from work and would like to add a few more things.
First, it was not a construction zone yet, just cones. Also we were all doing around the speed limit with me having MORE than enough room to pass safely(Me in the left him in the right with my lane ending. Again PLENTY OF ROOM TO PASS). He just suprised me and I did not realize he was playing these games. Before I knew it, the lane was ending and my first instinct was to pass him. But the faster I went so did he. Then when I understood what he was doing I shifted to third to pass. This whole time I was in 6th.
Thanks again
Chris

Depending on the situaltion, if I have to pass them and they start to speed up, I do one of two things. either I slow down and get behind them or I downshift and hit the gas and pass them. The latter usually gives me a bad look from the other driver . I'm just letting him/her know that I'm not here to play games with them. I don't get any of that when I'm in my Explorer.

this is so true. when im in my s2k, i have people always passing me at insane speeds. but when im my accord, everyone is driving normally. it could be coincidence, but i don't think so. people are just jealous and need to show off that they're better than you. i also have people get irritated for no good reason when im in my s2k. one example is when i simply turned on my turn signal and changed lanes in front of a civic. there was like 2 buslenghts b/w me and the civic and the had the audacity to honk his horn at me. i definatley did not cut him off. something is definately wrong with these people.

I think it works both ways .
I have been yielded to in so many instances because people admire the car as well as being blown off.
Don't let your mood and most importantly your judgement be affected by people that won't let you pass.
There are a$$holes everywhere !
I don't let them spoil my fun and put me in a Bad Mood anymore.
As you gain more experience you will learn how anger management saves a lot of frustration and more importantly lives.
Happy Motoring !
