Default Passing inspection with test pipe?

Well, have the test pipe installed along with the mechanical o2 simulator, no CEL to boot. Aside from wondering if the inspector is anal retentive and wants to look under the car (visual inspection) should I pass?

as long as there is no visual inspection and no cel, you will pass. most states do not run ODBII cars on the "dyno" rollers anymore. they just hook up to the ODBII unit and check to make sure there are no emissions problems (which would be indicated to you via a CEL)

also, this is not a vehicle problem, so moving to S2000talk

inspection or emissions test? don't know about other states, but in CT these are completely different. They will not check for a cat during emissions, but for inspection they would put the car on a lift specifically to check for a CAT.

I gutted my stock cat and did the mechanical o2 sensor mod. Works like a charm. No more hassle of having to change it out every year.

Isn't removing a catalytic converter a major offense in places like CA? I believe they can hit you with a big fine IIRC from a few years back.

every time ive ever been to e-check.. or the emmissions place they have always had a mirror thing on a pole.. and they look under my car for the cat..
just get a heat shield and put it over your test pipe... they wont be able to tell the differance.
