Default passenger seat rattle

My passenger seat seems to rattle (when no one is in it of course). This has only started recently. Car has only 4000 miles on it. Is something loose, or is this normal?

Thanks.

Top down or up?

A "rattle" I would think is the seat belt
A "click or tick" could be the soft top problem that's been addressed.

Now I'm seeing why Xviper doesn't answer these type of questions..

I have the same problem and its not the seat belt or top. Its the top half of the seat. It can wiggle forward and backward. I don't know how to fix it though.

Normal for the seat to rattle. Place a piece of folded foam in the seat back pocket so that it is compressed when the seat and/or seat back is moved back. Worked like a champ for me.

ese2mil: That is a very neat idea!
Until now, I knew it was perfectly normal for that seatback to rattle a bit when empty, not too annoying to me and too busy to work on a solution, so I just let it go, but your solution seems quick, easy, cheap, doable, reversible if you don't like the result and most importantly...effective.
THANKS.

jeez this board is truly amazing.

The foam trick worked like a charm. Luckily I had some laying around. It was the seatback rattling a little bit.

I have been impressed with this board since buying my 05 and am grateful to be part of this community.

So all I need to do is stuff a piece of foam in the back of the seat pocket? I don't have foam so I tried a towel. Haven't tested it out on the road but the seat still wiggles.
