Have you heard anything about the '04 on this subject, PJK? Jcavallie's switch install appears to be a non-aftermarket part. I'm wondering if Honda maybe has addressed this issue in '04?

nothing specific yet.

of course, my dealer has a been a bit mute on the 2004's (contrary to a lot of other dealers who seem have been fabricating junk for months now).

hrm... i'm due for an oil change in a bit... the next time i'm around there - i'll do some inquiring.

Your owners manual will have instructions on how to have a child passenger in emergency situations, I would recommend following their instructions.
