Yeah, that's the only thing that's been buggin me about top-down parking. In the August heat, that black leather has been frying my derriere lately. I've got this lunatic fantasy of some sort of booty/sock type thing, that I could throw over the driver's seat in a situation like that. Light fabric, elastic seams, like a fitted bed sheet or something. Anyone ever heard of anything like this? Maybe I've found my niche product!

I agree with Traveler. Not to mention people who will dump a drink or something else in the interior just for spite. The car looks tooooo good and attracts way toooo much attention in general. I teach, so when I park at school, it always has a cover on also.

Unless it's a quick stop (i.e. less than 5 minutes), I put the top up. It's not so much a theft thing, but I hate the interior getting all dusty. My work parking garage is filthy inside and I'd hate to have any of that gunk slowly coating the inside of my car.

How much trouble/time does it take to raise the top? (don't even need to close the latches) I'd rather raise the top than take down my radar detector!
Sure, some thieves will get what they want anyway, but a locked, closed car keeps honest people honest.

I usually leave mine down unless it will be parked for hours. I also really prefer the way the car looks w/ the boot on, so...I leave it down for that reason as well. For some reason, I feel like people will think I'm close by if the top is down. Having said all that, there are some places ( clubs, malls ) that I won't take the s to, cause "sometimes, it just aint worth the risk." As far as someone dumping something in there, I try to have faith in my fellow ma. I'm also 6'1 ,235, and have no sense of humor w/ someone f$#@#!! with my car, so if anyone ever does, I hope they can run faster than I drive.

If someone wants what is in your car, they will just cut the top.
I've left the top down for months in a row.

they can easily reach in and just jump right in if the top is down, taking whatever they want.

You know your seats cost thousands of dollars.
And they can be removed in seconds....
