Viper 791 alarm + radar dome security attachment = enough security for me to leave the top down during open parking situations while I see a movie or have dinner or something but over night or extended periods of time = I dont think so

I leave the top down to prevent it from getting cut... I leave nothing in car... Got myself a S2 solo cordless so I can lock it away when I am out of the car.

I've never had a problem with topless parking.

I almost never leave the top down. I'm more concerned about birds, leaves and whatever other crud falls from the sky than I am about people stealing stuff.

If someone wants what is in your car, they will just cut the top.

I've left the top down for months in a row.

Unless it's a quick stop (i.e. less than 5 minutes), I put the top up. It's not so much a theft thing, but I hate the interior getting all dusty. My work parking garage is filthy inside and I'd hate to have any of that gunk slowly coating the inside of my car.

That's why some people would leave their convertables unlocked when they park with the top up. The theory is that if someone wanted something in the car, they can just open the door to get it instead of cutting the top.

The Covercraft Weathershield cockpit cover goes on and off easily. It keeps the sun, bird do-do out, leaves and other tree stuff out of the car. The car is actually cooler than it would be with the top up since the cover is kind of a reflective silver as opposed to the black top. It also fits over the windshield and boot cover.

I use it for short stops. I put the top up for for anything more than a couple of hours. This is a car I don't feel comfortable parking a lot of places top up or down.
