Painting your car into another color
I have silverstone now, in a few years if I might paint it to white.....
What do you guys think about giving up the original color you bought your car with? Does it lose value? Has anyone done it?

to my knowledge it generally lowers the value; although it's probably the most sought after color so in terms of value it might be a wash. As long as it was an entire repaint.

I have painted a lot of cars and in my opinion you are better off just buying a GPW. To do it right your looking at $6k minimum. I could understand doing this if you went with a custom color... but not white.

i dont buy cars as investments so i dont care about value. mine currently has lots of scratches and stuff so i am considering a repaint.
although gpw is my most desired stock usdm color, were i to repaint it, i would go with the exotic international colors like moonrock

I agree that it's pointless to go through all that and pay that much just to change to another factory color. Go with something unique!
