pc is physically harder than any paint you're going to spray on.
So what's worse....the potential for paint chips (even though unlikely with a quality prep/paint job), or the potential for chipped/broken wheels?
Not that I'm completely against powder coating, but if it were that much better than paint, don't you think at least the high-end wheel manufacturers would powder coat?

...and also changes the metallic properties of your wheels during the required baking process (as someone previously mentioned).

the question is, do you need the finish to be titanium stiff? if you run a curb or have some idoit at the tire mounting process, PC, paint or not they will not able to survive the ordeal.
how much is the PC process for wheel btw? 250?-350?
you can get PPG body colour matched paint for around 100, that's EVERY colour in the face of the earth.
of course, if you are lazy as fwak and don't want to break a sweat then have them PC'ed

When you guys are wetsanding the enamel paint - what grit are you using (prior to clearcoat)? And then once clearcoated what grit are you wetsanding with - 1000, 1500?
Mine are turning out really awesome so far but I just want to be sure I am doing it right...(these are track wheels for my 944 turbo btw)
Thanks,
Sam
