Thumbs up Painted Cailpers

I wanted to paint my calipers red. Which paint should I use? Also are there any tips? Anything I should be aware of? What if it gets on the rotors?

Thanks alot.

There are several threads on this--do a search. Many people like decalgirl's G2 caliper paint.

Got my G2 paint from MVP Motorsports. Works great and shipping was ultra fast. Red on Silverstone will look awsome. Maybe I'm biased... but oh well!!!

If you want to track your car there is NO paint finish which can withstand the high temperatures the calipers will experience. I don't like painted calipers as they tell me that no matter how much the owner boasts, they don't drive their car hard enough to discolour the paint on them.

It's kind of a contradiction in terms - i.e I paint my calipers because I am an automobile enthusiast and drive my car hard - well, huh, if that is the case then then why aren't your painted calipers discoloured then?

No one's talking about tracking their car I see your point but you went over deep end on your reply

Fair enough Dreamcation - I just have no time for the "all show - no go" crowd, as I see no point in making supposedly performance oriented mods if they are of no performance benefit.
