Update-

Honda of America called me today and stated they "found" a bumper with the new design. My body shop person stated they (Honda) had him look at several new bumper to make sure it was the new desgn. So maybe Honda doesn't know of the new design or they are trying to cover it up!

No word on whether there is a new part number still looking into that and how Honda is going to settle my claim that the car value is depreciated because of the lose of the VIN sticker on the factory installed bumper????

I will be present when the bumpers are switched out and take several pictures of the difference in the "new design" bumper.

Update

Honda found the new designed bumper for my car and it's been on the car for about 2 weeks.....and NO PEELING PROBLEM!! Yes I have pitures of the bumper. No I will not post them until I clear things up with HONDA 100%.

Yes, I have settled with HONDA for compensation. Honda stated it was a GOOD WILL AGREEMENT AND NOT COMPENSATION. I can't say what they are doing for me at this time. But my car is at the dealer.....I will pick it up tonight with some extras!!!!!

Stay tune.........

Joey, please let us know the new part # once you get it. This problem surfaced on both my front and rear bumpers.

Honda stills states there is no new part number for the new front bumper. My local body shop looked at three bumpers before he accepted one with the new designed. He did state the new bumper was out of the orginal shipping container......so he couldn't find out whether there is a new part number.

I pickup up my car tonight......here is what HONDA did for a GOOD WILL COMPENSATION for my paint peeling problem.

1. They replaced my bumper (under warranty) with the new design bumper....this fixed the peeling

2. Gave me a deal for the spoilers for the car (front, rear and side) all installed on my car for the price of $609.62. Not too bad, I thought. The dealer gave me an estimate for over $1850.00 for the purchase/installation of the spoilers (that less than 1/3 of the price). Please note through HandA_Accessories.com you can purchase all the spoilers for about $1060 but you have to install them yourself. The dealer installed mine and I get the full warranty.

I should state that when I pickup my car they broke the driver side, side marker....they already stated they will replace it free of charge.

Well, much to my horror, I too have the dreaded peeling paint - I noticed it last night. I think that I'll wait a while to see if it gets worse and let Honda get some more experience in the fix before I go through the repainting process.

My peeling paint is getting worse in the front, and I still have it in the back. I'm still the first person I know of that has had it in both parts, and it's pretty annoying. I hope that when I bring it in to get it repainted under warranty, it won't just be a temporary fix.
