The Dealer will honor that in a heartbeat. My dash faded due to excessive Florida sun and they replaced it...My driver's seat back began to wear at the entry point and they replaced it...They should take care of something legitimate like that immediately.

I have the peeling paint mentioned in another thread. It is on the bumper between the headlight and the hood/nose area. They want me to take it to a body shop, have the body shop fix (repaint) it and the body shop bill the dealer. I say horses**t....for my $33K I want a new bumper. From what others mention in the other thread....they got repainted.

My theory is 1 of 2 things. 1. The paint is peeling because the bumper rubs the metal from vibration or shifting. 2. When they took the white plastic off the car, some jackass at the dealer decided to use a utility knife to cut it from the crack.

It seems that they almost look like cuts and not just peeling.

The front bumper peeling is an old issue and I thought was solved.

I got my car in October of 1999 and had this issue.

The rear bumper issue you mention may be new.

The body shop person I spoke with felt the repainted bumper would not have the same level of paint adhesion as the factory job. The thought was to touch up the peeling area though I have left it alone.

Maybe Honda will decide to ship some prepainted bumpers.

I have the peeling paint mentioned in another thread. It is on the bumper between the headlight and the hood/nose area. I have a 2001 with 4400 miles. The paint on this car is not the best Ive seen. I notice more orange peel and small drip spots as I look at the car more. I hope the paint/appication is better on next NSX.

I am going in for an oil change on Monday, and I will see what they have to say about it.

Does this problem concern one color in particular or all of them?
