Have any of you guys ran into paint problems on this car? My 00 model has developed a crack in the paint on the very front of the driver's side front fender that is about 2 inches long. By looking at it I noticed that the edges along the crack seem to be oxidizing. Have any of you ran into this? It's pouring down rain today in Tejas so I can't get the car to the dealer until tomorrow or next week. I called though and they said that it will be covered under warranty (I hope they stick to that).

I had the paint on the fender/bumper just below the lights start to crack and peel. Both sides identical problem. Dealer took off bumper and repainted it. have heard others have had same problem. The paint is very thin and cheap compared to cars of the past. Environmental reasons.

 

Yeah that is exactly what is happening to mine but it is on the side of the light. I know what you mean about the paint, didn't they have to change the base used to make the paints for new cars?

BTW Did the dealer blend the hood and fenders or was the color match seamless?

 

I had some bubbling on the little strips just before the trunk. Warantee covered it.

 

Just got back from the Honda dealer and they are going to warranty the problem which is a relief. Finally, I can sleep at night now...haha jk
