Paid off the S!

Paid off the S!
So, the other day while the forum was down, I took the money I made selling my 2002 Honda VFR800 and my tax return, went down to the bank, and paid off my S2k.
Then yesterday I drove all the way to Dallas and bought a perfect black 2005 Element to join it in the garage. This whip will be the wife's. We needed something utilitarian and what better than another Honda.

Thanks. I hate having a payment on anything. I love knowing that the S is all mine to do as I please and keep as long as I wish. There is certain satisfaction in that. Also, with the economy today, debt free is the way to be.
I decided to get rid of the VFR800 because after getting the S2k a year ago, I just didn't ride the bike enough anymore. That, and the VFR and the S were too similar. I'll get another bike one day, but I need some variety in my toys.

Congrats on the payoff, I won't know what that's like for awhile since I want to get another S after I payoff the 99 SI. Even if I had never wrecked my S I wouldn't have paid that thing off for like 5 years....

Definitely congrats on paying her off.
I've had mine paid off since 2007 and it's a great feeling! I do not plan to ever making payments on another car...will continue to buy used with cash but do not foresee the need for another vehicle for at least a few more years.

I never buy new. I know what I can afford and buy gently used cars then pay them off as soon as I can. I've only had the S2k for a year before paying it off. If I could ever get enough money together at the same time I would pay cash for them. I always pay cash for bikes.
