Good luck with purchasing the car. Also, good luck at boot camp!

Really? That's good to know. But your cred is good right? And whats ur rank? That might have had something to do with it.

i would just suggest you go try and see if you can.
We can give you advice all day, but what it really comes down to is you going and trying it out.

Buying a brand new car is ALWAYS a bad decision financially. The only way you should do it is if you have income to burn! I paid $12,000 less for my car than it cost new and it only had 15,000 miles on it when I bought it. If I had financed that extra $12,000 for the new one that would end up being about $16,000 after interest!

well....I'm in the same situation, 20, getting a car next year, looking at a convertible.....

with all the info....how much are you guys actually paying monthly??

is it better if I lease it???All I will do is make it lower, change the rims and exhaust.

Honestly, if you're only going to be driving it 30 days out of the year, for the next 5 years, it's not worth it. There is insurance to think about - thats a total waste. Would you rent an apartment and only spend a month in it? Complete waste of funds. I'd save your money for the next five years and buy something outright at the end.

Oh, and btw, I'm 20 and just bought my s2k. 17,500 otd, 2500 down, my payments are $253 a month.

hmm i kinda want to finance one but i hate car notes...i guess i'll just wait it out.

also not the best idea to drop all the $ on a depreciating asset especially when yo'ure that young.
