People are probably responding in a negative manner because it angers them that someone with no common sense (that needs an owners manual to explain how to drive a manual transmission) owns an S2000.

Heck its probably tapping into the pent up rage that most intelligent drivers have about the fact that the morons driving around the road today can even get a license, let alone buy sports cars. I'm not flaming you, just trying to explain where the anger probably comes from

The context of your question is making a lot of assumptions, but the simple answer is NO.
Hey, at least we do agree that this is "lack of information" we're talking about!!!

Here's my final point to this topic: Paul, thanks for the obvious time and effort you put into pointing out this issue to us. It's a shame that this thread couldn't have been more positive and constructive. I'd be glad to discuss it further when we do the MD-PA border drive again. BTW, when were you hoping to do that? PM me when you get a chance.

Uh... hate to say it Kevin, but I totally agree with wickerbill on this one. Your earlier post and this quote here completely contradict each other.

Memo to American Honda Motors attorneys:

Please instruct your client to fabricate the following signage for the center of the steering wheel on the MY2000 through MY2003 Honda S2000.

"Do not shift from second to first if you are traveling faster than 42 miles per hour.
Do not shift from third to second if you are traveling faster than 60 miles per hour.
Do not shift from fourth to third if you are traveling faster than 90 miles per hour.
Do not shift from fifth to fourth if you are traveling faster than 115 miles per hour.
Do not shift from sixth to fifth if you are traveling faster than 138 miles per hour.

Do not exceed 42 miles per hour in first gear.
Do not exceed 60 miles per hour in second gear.
Do not exceed 90 miles per hour in third gear.
Do not exceed 115 miles per hour in fourth gear.
Do not exceed 138 miles per hour in fifth gear.
Do not exceed 170 miles per hour in sixth gear.

Do not drive this car if you do not understand this information."

Please be sure the signage has both large print and braille so that blind drivers are properly informed.

They'd better include pictograms for those who cannot read.

I should have simply posted "please flame me" in my lead post. Would have gotten the same general response from some community "members".

I post here so other people can benefit, not to hear myself type. I usually have something better to do, but I try to take the time to contribute.

It's really starting to bug me that other people with nothing better to do try to cause trouble, or throw out somthing short and arrogant that is to make other people feel small.

Maybe it's not intentional.

When a post reminds you of something in society you don't particularly appreciate, it doesn't mean it's supposed to be your perfect opportunity to jump on a soap box.

If you read something you're not particularly interested in, it's your duty to move on and find something else to read, not to make some type of ignorant comment.

It's not just this thread. I see it all over the board. People are treating the pages of this forum like their personal roll of toilet paper.

A significant number of people here lack basic respect and appreciation of the S2KI community and it's individual members.
