When it snows in PA, do you have signs that drop down from the sky to tell the driver to slow down?

Tell you what Destiny, why don't you "accidently" downshift from 6th gear at 8500 RPM to 3rd gear, blow the engine, get a lawyer and tell us what happens after you show them the manual. My guess is that, unless you hire O.J.'s dream team, you would lose to Honda.

Well, Dario... I don't drive 160 MPH.

If I had a claim denied because of being accused of overrevving, you know I wouldn't take it in the fetal position.

No, I have not been in that circumstance...

BTW, I read all the time how people hit the rev limiter by mistake.

To do so makes no common sense, but people post that it happens by accident all the time.

My feeling is that some people either panic or are trying to speed shift (down) and they create the mistake. Not Honda or the car, but the driver.

You are absolutely right. This is exactly what it should say in the manual. That having been said, I doubt that it would make much difference. First of all, an awful lot of people don't bother to read the manual. Secondly, a lot of people downshift into the wrong gear (re your idea for shift gates), and finally, an awful lot of people don't think while they drive, especially about what it says in the manual.
