Pull the valve cover and do an inspection!!!!
exactly!!! and a mechanical over rev like the one you had is exaclty how they crack.

Thanks guys!! appreicated all the replies within such a short period of time.. ... I will leave to my meeting early next time.. and I'm 100% sure i was in 4th gear! btw I think im fine.. just drove to the market and car feels the same ..

ap2 redline speed on 4th gear it's 104...
so don't worry..

theres no way you were going 90 and then in 4th overreved..you must have gone into second. maybe you thought it was 4th cause the gears are close together??? i mean sometimes i dont pay attention and i forget which gear im in....it happens...

You definitely should not have overrev'd going 90mph in 4th gear. It almost makes me think you went into second instead. Well, since you say you went into 4th 100% than you should be just fine. Anyways, be more careful.

Until anyone in the world has seen a cracked retainer on an AP2 that didn't already drop a valve, we can all go on thinking you are fine.

he said he was going for 6th and threw 4th by mistake. i am pretty sure he didn't grab 2nd while going for 6th...
