Nevermind on the fabric or vinyl question, i searched and i guess it is vinyl. But the other question is it safe to use on the dash and interior?

It's the best product I've found for interior vinyl. Use sparingly though.

You can, and should, use 303 on the top (which is vinyl) the dashboard, door panels, etc. Spray the 303 on a sponge and rub it on the top, etc. Wipe with a clean cotton clothe a few minutes later.
Lexol is a good product for the leather on your seats, console, etc. Apply it the same way.
My car is over 3 years old and the top, etc. all look brand new.

It's Vinyl, I have the body repair manual. I think the BRM may be the only place it is verified that the top it Vinyl. The BRM also has a key in the back to help identify what type of plastic is used on various parts of the car. Most parts are marked something like "PK or "PP" there are a bunch, point is there is a key to look them up in the BRM. I think "PP" is polypropelyne or something.
Just my rant.
